Injured Athlete Support Group

You’re injured. You’re still an athlete. You don’t have to do this alone.

You’re injured. You’re still an athlete. You don’t have to do this alone.

The Injured Athlete Group is a small, supportive community space for female athletes navigating injury, recovery, and the emotional side of being sidelined. This is a place to talk honestly about what injury takes from you—and how to move forward without pressure, timelines, or fixing.

Who is this group for?

This group is for female athletes who:

  • Are currently injured, returning from injury, or stuck in the in‑between
  • Have competed at a high level and still identify as an athlete
  • Miss their sport, routine, and community
  • Feel frustrated, isolated, or unsure how to talk about injury
  • Want connection and shared experience—not advice or lectures

You don’t need to be “badly” injured. You don’t need to be actively rehabbing. You don’t need to have the right words.

If injury has changed how you move, train, or see yourself—this space is for you.

What This Group Is (and Isn’t)

This is:

  • A small, intentionally capped group
  • A guided but relaxed discussion
  • A space grounded in respect, confidentiality, and choice
  • Athlete‑to‑athlete connection

This is not:

  • Group therapy
  • A rehab or a workout
  • Medical advice or performance coaching
  • A lecture or educational seminar
  • A place about toxic positivity or "pushing through"

There’s no pressure to talk. Listening counts.

Why This Group Exists

Injury doesn’t just affect your body—it disrupts identity, routine, confidence, and community. Many athletes are expected to “stay positive,” “trust the process,” and move on quietly.

But the emotional side of injury often goes unspoken.

This group was created to offer what many injured athletes are missing: a place to be honest, supported, and understood by others who get it.

What to Expect

Each session is designed to feel safe, grounded, and human.

  • Small group setting
  • Opening prompt to guide discussion
  • Space to share, reflect, or simply listen
  • No fixing, no unsolicited advice
  • Come exactly as you are—physically and emotionally
  • Light competitive social time (cards, connection, laughs)

The goal isn’t to leave feeling “better.” The goal is to leave feeling connected.
